Көңіл words:
The word көңіл (mood) has very important meaning in Kazakh culture. Most words in English, which express emotions, do not have an exact translation in Kazakh. This is related to cultural differences in approaching and expressing emotions. Kazakh culture is usually more moderate in expressing emotions. Being reserved implies good upbringing and culturally correct behaviour. Many words to describe emotions and mood are expressed with the phrases with көңіл.
