Rules
  1. -ар/-ер/-р+жіктік жалғауы construction is used when we talk about uncertain future events. It implies probability, anticipation and forecasting. In English it may be translated as might/may/probably/should

For example,
Ертең олар келіп қалар. Бүгін жолға шығамыз деген.=They should arrive tomorrow. They told us that they will start the trip today.

Мүмкін болашақта кітап жазармын, әзірге нақты айта алмаймын. Сондай ойым бар.=Maybe I will write a book in the future, I am not sure at the moment. I have this idea.

Бәрі жақсы болып кетер. Күтейік. Көрейік.=Everything will be ok. Let’s wait. Let’s see.

  1. In order to make negative form we use етістік+ма/ме/ба/бе/па/пе+йтін шығар.

For example,
Ертең олар келмейтін шығар.=They probably won’t come tomorrow.
Мүмкін болашақта кітап жазбайтын шығармын. Әзірге нақты айта алмаймын.=Maybe I will not write a book in the future, I am not sure at the moment.

  1. In order to make negative form in a polite form as suggestion for future or offering help we use етістік+ма/ме/ба/бе/па/пе+й+ақ қояр+жіктік жалғау.



For example,

Сендер ертең келмей-ақ қоярсыңдар. Біз өзіміз барып келеміз.=Maybe you do not need to come tomorrow. We can go there, if you want.

Оларға айтпай-ақ қоярмыз. Кейін айтсақ дұрыс болатын сияқты.=Maybe we should not tell them. It might be better to tell them later.

Practive

Exercise 1. Conjugate the following verbs in different persons with ар/ер/р ending.
Машина айдау, өлең жазу, сурет салу, сабақ беру, жазу, ашу, бару, жіберу, жүгіру, ұшу.

Exercise 2. Choose any 5 verbs from Exercise 1 and make up your own sentences in positive and negative forms with the meaning should, may, might, probably. Read your examples to the class.
